FinQuant Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-05-07 · v1.0

1. What we collect

FinQuant is a self-hosted workbench. All market data, strategy code, backtest results, positions, and order records stay only on the machine you deploy it to (local disk / local ClickHouse / local DuckDB).

We do not collect:

  • Your strategy code
  • Your positions, orders, or P&L
  • Your data-source credentials
  • Your backtest results or factor library

2. How we use information

We don’t collect, so we don’t use. FinQuant by default makes no outbound requests to any third party. If you opt into certain data sources (e.g. exchange market data, fundamental data services), those outbound requests are driven by credentials you supply, sent directly to that data provider, and never relayed through any FinQuant-operated service.

3. Sharing

We do not share anything with any third party.

4. Your rights

  • Shutting down your FinQuant instance clears all application state
  • Your databases, strategy code, and backtest artifacts live on your own disk — back them up, delete them, or migrate them at will
  • If we shut down: FinQuant has no remote activation dependency, so your deployed instance keeps working
